YOUNG LIONZ

ARTIST HISTORY
Young Lionz is a rap duo comprised of artists Jay Shay and Revolution. Jay Shay has been producing and performing music for a decade on the hip-hop and R&B circuit having two solo albums, two group albums and other mixtape albums under his belt. Revolution has been spreading the gospel through his metaphoric lyricism laced with salvation, change of life style and the passion of Jesus constantly in prayer that through music, more souls will be won to the Kingdom of the Lord through Christ Jesus" - Holy Jamz Show

Born Jason McCormack in Columbia, SC in 1982. The artist known as Jay Shay has profoundly touched the world of hip hop and R&B with his contribution and desire to revolutionize music and its association with spirituality. At the age of 11, being influenced by hip hop, he began to write lyrics, freestyle, and battle other young rappers on the inner city streets of his neighborhood and local hang outs. After establishing a wide reputation amongst his peers, Jay Shay decided to pursue his dream of becoming an icon in the world of music. After years of developing his skills in music production, rapping, singing, as well as playing piano and guitar, Jay Shay and co artist/friend Concept designed a production label that would eventually become known as Medicine Music Productions. As the development of Medicine Music Productions progressed, Jay Shay also began to grow spiritually in his walk with the Lord Jesus Christ by walking away from the street life and concentrating fully on music. His dedication driven by faith in Christ has had a major impact on his music career as well as his fans and listeners. For the past 10 years Jay Shay has been producing music for himself as well as local artist and up and coming stars such as Jordan Dyer, The Next Best Thing, Revolution from Last Dayz Records, and major label recording artists King Josiah and Prince Rasu of the 7th Sign Regime. He has recorded two solo albums, two group albums with co artist Cedd R.O.C.C. [R.I.P] and has been featured on two 7th Sign Regime albums titled “Underground Mixtape Volume 1” and King Josiah’s “7 Underground Music”. He is currently working on a group album with the artist Revolution titled “The Lionz Den” scheduled to be released in Fall of 2008 and also highly anticipated multiple projects with King Josiah and Prince Rasu also to be released in 2008. Jay Shay is currently residing in Atlanta, GA where he is working on his next album “Strength of the Lion” as well as attending the Art Institute of Atlanta majoring in Audio Production. He has appeared at shows such as Sound Storm Sessions at The Father’s House as well as Zoe City Church and will be performing at other venues in the near future.

Born Gerard A Biggs Jr, in 1979 in Henrico County, Virginia, Revolution arrived with a destiny to fullfill. The music conveyed within the songs created relay a very distinct topic along with containing what it takes to continually make uncompromised good music. Raised in Northern Virginia, Revolution was exposed to many different walks of life and different situations as well as having a very strong affection for rap music. So he decided to immulate what was being heard on tapes and video's and whatever else he could find involving Hip-Hop and rap. Over time his life situations began to change and mature. So did his experience with rap and Hip-Hop. Eventually everything Revolution wanted to talk about and make music about fell into place, and as a result he says he feels very HONORED and gracious to whomever he can share his talent with. The epitome of FIRE exists within these songs. Once the talent and power was realized, Revolution made a vow within himself to continually use and feed this gift. He simply offers it back to which it came from. Only to glorify the source of his skills and who gives it unto him, and furthermore who will give it to any man or woman who seeks to serve the most high. Revolution seeks to "revolutionize" music as we know it. Authentically working and submiting to the will the HOLY SPIRIT, to construct and meticulously put together straight FIRE.... Jams... In the fashion we all had grown to love depending on which era you came up in within Hip-Hop. Revolution says he refuses to carbon copy any artist or their style. He is strict with his work ethic and dedicated to perfecting his stlye that has been given to him. He vows to never be a follower of trends, he often feels as though his psalms will be the trend setter in the future. Revolution is quoted as saying "It is truly a pleasure and one of my hearts desires to share the music with you. May you be forever blessed, the listener, the reader, & the believer.....forever and for eternity"....

Be prepared.
