The Collective Melts is Jason Shira - Vocals, Michael - Guitar, Ashwin Prasad - Drums, Andy Perez - Bass The Collective Melts are four piece rock band from the Sacramento, California. Consisting of Jason Shira on vocals, Michael on guitar, Andy Perez on bass and Ashwin Prasad on drums the always-solid rhythm section provided by Prasad and Perez give every song a driving backbone. Prasad’s powerful drumming and Perez driving bass lines keeps the music moving forward with an aggressive and artful pace. The guitar of Michael provides the glue that holds everything together. Always consistent the guitar tells the store through music that the words can’t. Shira’s vocal’s takes the listener through layers of emotions as he tells crafted story’s of loss, love, and the human condition. From blissful to angry Shira’s vocals are powerful, having a hint of Scott Weiland, James Hetfield, and Layne Staley. The band's over all sound resonates with the drive of bands like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Nickleback.
