» Kingsdown
Image: 'kingsdown' began in the fall of 2002, located in the city of Batesville, Arkansas. Within 6 months the group had recorded a four song demo, and began playing at every opportunity for small, yet loyal crowds. After releasing their first independent EP, "Moments to Monuments", in 2004, they embarked on a 28 state national tour, and garnered a top 20 radio single with the song "Dearest Nameless". The group is quickly gaining an outstanding fan-base across the United States, as well as positive attention from both the Christian and Secular music industries.

As a group of six close friends, including two brothers, 'kingsdown' loves what they do, and it shows on and off stage. Known for an explosively active and interactive live show, the band quickly draws audiences to see the truth and passion that pervade the music they create. Working from a wide array of musical tastes and eclectic influence, 'kingsdown' strives to create their own personal style of rock, utilizing powerful, emotional rock vocals and driving melodic music, all with a healthy dose of piano and other keyboard derived sounds. With the anticipated 2005 release of "The Scenario We Know So Well", featuring 4 new tracks as well as a remake of "Dearest Nameless", the band raises the bar on what has already been reviewed as a benchmark sound within the rock/indie rock scene.

With plans for more touring, radio releases, and recordings in the near future, 'kingsdown' seems to be on the road to a successful stay in the industry. Armed with their music, and a powerful message of hope, truth, and love, these guys aim to impact their audience in a refreshing and exciting way. Be sure to include "kingsdown" on your list of must see shows this year.
