ARTIST HISTORY
KING MISFIT is a Progressive Rock / Metal band comprised of 6 seasoned musicians from Southwestern Ontario Canada, featuring elements of Symphonic Metal, Heavy Alternative, and driving Hard Rock. While spending the first half of 2009 experimenting and finalizing the band line-up, the band found the direction that inspired them the most and began to write their first chapter...
Richard, Michael Muzzatti and Michael Burke played in a project entitled Mechanical Day Dream: a culmination of 3 serious musicians who decided to pursue music creation in a manner which was against the industry grain. MDD chose to push the limits of what could be accomplished as artists first, regardless of what trends exist in the music biz today. Digging deep within musical influences, experiences and interests, a chemistry evolved to create an unbridled passion for musicianship and friendship without arrogance. MDD was not successful in finding the right vocalist and keyboard player after 2 years of trying.
The group produced 6 instrumental demos planned to be re-mastered and released. Still in pursuit of its goals, members Michael M. and Richard were introduced to Charles Arsenault while rehearsing for a local cover act called Fit for Radio. Later, as time would tell, Charles would be instrumental in introducing Michael M. and Richard to William and Todd who had worked together since 2005 in an alternative rock band called 8ight Past Nine, which released its first CD entitled Stood in the Rain in August of 2007. In January 2009, William, Charles and Todd broke away from 8ight Past Nine with a vision of progressing into a heavier sound along with a complete spectrum of creativity where everyone in the group is a songwriter. That's when King Misfit was born. The first few months were an exciting experimental stage, while also adding former MDD bass player Michael Burke to finalize the line-up.
The vision has now been realized!! This is only the beginning...
