Watch FD's performance on Little Rock's Channel 7, "Good Morning Arkansas" (05.23.07). Also, the Band has been invited to perform at the opening of Pink Palace Museum's exhibit "Access All Areas: Your Backstage Pass to the Music Industry". The new Memphis exhibit opens May 24, 2007.
FURTHER DOWN is based in Northeast Arkansas. Recently, they have signed with Al Gomes of Big Noise LLC to represent them with their national music promotion and publicity campaigns. They have joined a Big Noise roster, which includes major acts such as Christina Aguilera, Katharine McPhee, Little Anthony & The Imperials, Patti Rothberg, actor/director Andrew McCarthy, Tiffani Thiessen and Chicago. Big Noise is an Independent A&R Firm based out of Providence, Rhode Island, with over 30 years experience in all aspects of the music industry. The company is a full voting/nominating member of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Inc. and has had 26 of their artists on the official ballot for The Grammy Awards.
June 2007 is the target release date for the new rock video, "What You Say". The video is produced and directed by the Harpole Phillips Group.
Evan has picked up artist endorsements with DC California Drums. Soultone Cymbals and Silver Fox Drum Sticks.
In October 2006 FD released their 3rd record, "7 Years Hard Luck". The record was produced by Pete Matthews (North Mississippi Allstars, Devon Allman, Paul Simon) and recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN. He is credited with the development and signing of Arkansas multi-platinum artists EVANESCENCE to WIND UP RECORDS. Rick Steff (Hank Williams, Jr., The Gin Blossoms) is featured on keyboards on "Black & Bleach" and Susan Marshall (Lenny Kravitz, Afghan Whigs, Lynyrd Skynyrd) & Jackie Johnson are featured as backing vocals on "Get Your Rocks Off".
EXPERIENCE: FD's live performance is one of the hottest southern rock shows in the Mid-South. Main stage includes major music festivals such as RIVERFEST 2006, and shows with over 30 plus major artists including acts such as LIVE, SALIVA, SEETHER, KING'S X, TANTRIC, TRAPT, VINCE NEAL, SWITCHFOOT, WARRANT, CLUTCH, POCO, DROWNING POOL, SKID ROW, POISON, MAN MADE GOD, OUR LADY PEACE, TH' LEGENDARY SHACK* SHAKERS, FIREFALL, STROKE 9, LITTLE RIVER BAND, APRIL WINE, DIE TRYING and BLUE OYSTER CULT.
The Band regularly performs at venues through out Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana such as Cicero's, Juanita's, Sticky Fingerz, The Rev Room, CC Metroplex, Hall of Industry, New Daisy, Hard Rock Café, Overton Park Shell, U of A, ASU Convocation Center, Clear Channel 4th In The Forest, Rockin' on the Ridge, Independence Hall, The West End, Batesville River Amphitheatre, University of Arkansas, University of Mississippi, Wall Street, The Red, and Riverfest Amphitheatre.
FD has performed live on major TV stations such as KAIT TV's "Good Morning Region 8" and on the Channel 3's "Live at 9" based out of Memphis TN. The new songs have received air play in major radio markets in Arkansas, Tennessee and Missouri. The song "TRACK OF TIME" immediately became the number one request at "THE BUZZ" KBZR 95.9. Songs from the CD "TIMES IN HERE", "ROOM IN MYSELF", "DEAR JOHN" and "WHAT YOU SAY" continue to receive spins on several radio stations across central and northeast Arkansas. After the release of "the CHLOE sessions" the HASTINGS STORE in Jonesboro AR reported that "the CHLOE sessions" was their number two (2) selling CD behind 50 CENT'S "GET RICH OR DIE TRYING". The store has promoted the CD in the "NEWEST AND HOTTEST" section and the CD is presently sold out. PRODUCER JOHN THOMAS GRIFFITH (Producer and Guitarist for COWBOY MOUTH) produced 4 songs on "the Chloe sessions". "The Chloe Sessions for the band Further Down, went extremely well. The guys in the band performed their tasks with precision and skill..…these guys sound like a cross between Stained, Stone Temple Pilots and Three Doors Down. Great group of guys. Check them out."
