| Singer, songwriter, and performer; Celeste's unique range of vocal style - from soothing love songs to powerhouse ballads - clearly sets her apart. She has been coined "The Voice" for good reason. In 2005, Celeste entered 5 consecutive contests, taking 1st place in every one, including being named Port Moody's Golden Spike Days Idol. Her win at the French Quarter Pub in Coquitlam led to performing at the Merritt Mountain Festival, the Hyack Festival in New Westminster, and the Show & Shine Car Show. In 2006, she won 1st place in the West End Idol contest and has been featured at Celebrities, Numbers, Jupiter Lounge & Oasis Pub. She has had the opportunity to perform at the PNE & at Pinic in the Park this past summer and was the closing act for the Pride parade event. In 2007, Celeste won the Ultimate Vocalist Contest which granted her a spot on TV on Urban Rush, her winning video performance on You Tube and a recording package that has allowed her to record and perform her originals live. In 2009, she was granted the chance to perform at the Cloverdale Rodeo and the Merritt Mountain Festival. Celeste's repertoire includes favorites of the 50's, 60's, 80's and 90's as well as show tunes, pop, contemporary, rock, country, alternative, blues and R&B. Feeling the music in her soul and singing from the heart has naturally led to songwriting. Celeste plans a future of 100% immersion in the music industry. |
