ARTIST HISTORY
y name is Josephine. Josephine Lilliwhite. My story started here on this blog over a year ago and now it's a book and an album in progress. I'm going to tell you such a vivid story, one that casts shadows against the palest of pale soft skin, all against a dimming purple and orange sky. The shape and sound of it all will sweep you home to me. Just you wait and see.
I come from the new and wildest west, the low desert known as the Inland Empire. My murder was waiting for me one Thursday evening, simpering and quivering behind my ex's dark gray pistol. But the bullet missed the good stuff. The beater kept beating, the baby did kick.
With my boys at my side, I dove deep into the dirty sugar on the back of a '64 Lincoln and started a life away from the known one, all the while planning my return.
I'll claim my true birthright, my true love and my throne with the slash and sneet of a righteous blade, I will.
With the help of Baby Dagger my most loyal soldier and atop the sturdy bottoms of my Pennybrides, I'll make it back, you'll see. Back to my man, my home, my heavy black throne.
